Susan Kozel has explored the convergence between philosophy, dance and media technologies through her performance practice and scholarly writing for more than 20 years. She is a Professor with the School of Arts and Culture at Malmö University in Sweden where she teaches embodied interaction on the Interaction Design programme and leads a research project into archiving and the performances of memory called Living Archives. Publications include the monograph Closer: Performance, Technologies, Phenomenology (MIT Press 2007); and many shorter pieces such as “Process Phenomenologies” in Performance and Phenomenology (Routledge, 2015) and “Somatic Materialism or Is it possible to do a phenomenology of affect?” in Site Journal of Art, Philosophy and Culture (2013).
